I can remember when Beth and I first got married; we got a large glass jar and started putting our change in it every day. After just several months we took the change out and counted it. We had close to $200 already saved up. The principle is that if we are faithful, little by little we can accomplish much. This month we are going to be presenting several new projects in the church to help raise the funds necessary to buy land and build a building. We recently had someone make some miniature houses with a slot in the roof to make a piggy (or house) bank. The people in the church will be able to take their bank home and put their money in during the month and at the end we will be taking all the money up a registering it on several different thermometers to show our progress. Each family will have a house along with several different ministries, like youth, ladies and men. There will be a thermometer for each of the ministries and also one large one to show our overall progress. This is a way that the people of the church can learn that if they are faithful even if it doesn’t seem like much that together we can accomplish great things. Our Goal through this, and the help of many of the churches in the US, is that we can raise enough money to be able to make a serious offer on a piece of land when it comes available. Please pray for our people and this special need.
