An Overview of Los Angeles
The Los Angeles five-county area has a population of almost 20 million. Because the metropolitan area is so dense, it is impossible to separate Los Angeles, or even Los Angeles county, from the surrounding metropolitan areas, except by planting a city limits sign. If the five-county Los Angeles area were a state, it would be the fourth largest in the United States(source).
For over a hundred years Los Angeles has been one of the most effective growth machines ever created. This area of the West Coast is blessed with abundant opportunity for prosperity, a good climate, and great natural beauty, such as can be found nowhere else on earth. The region has a distinct entrepreneurial culture and a depth of intellectual curiosity that makes it a place of constant discovery, and a place of almost continuous growth partially due to the Port of Los Angeles which is the busiest in the United States and one of the busiest in the world. Until every acre of this earthly paradise is occupied, people will continue to move here (source).
Religion in Los Angeles
There is every kind of church on earth here in Los Angeles to fit the needs of its large population. You could not find a richer soil however. People here are very hungry for solutions to today’s problems. Jesus Christ in that solution. People come from all over the world to live here. The move more or less dislodges them from old traditions. They are ready for something that works (source).
