Bolivia Mission’s Trip 2013:
One of the most convicting passages in the Bible to me is Mat. 9:36-38. When Jesus saw the condition of the people and their need He was moved to compassion. It was their spiritual condition and need for the gospel that He used to show the disciples that the harvest is plenteous but the problem is lack of laborers. That same need can be seen all over the world today but the problem is that most people never see it. That is why we are inviting you to come to Bolivia and see first hand the need. We have organized a mission’s trip July 1st – 9th of this year so that you can see first hand what the Lord is doing here. The trip will take place during our annual youth conference, which is one of our most exciting conferences of the year. This year brother Jeff Bush, director of Vision Baptist Missions will be leading the trip and also preaching the conference. During the trip you will have the opportunity to be involved in evangelism, visiting a Catholic Monastery and church and the 132-foot statue of Jesus that over looks our city. The trip will cost roughly $2100 per person but that can vary slightly depending on the price of airfare and the size of the group that comes. This trip is open to people of all ages but because of the short time remaining if you are interested we need to hear from you as soon as possible. If you would like more information we would be glad to send you a brochure or you can always visit our website at www.operationbolivia.com. You can also contact us personally if you have a question at kwhite@goreachtheworld.org or call us at 336-499-2585. We look forward to hearing from you.
Not by Bread Alone:
Today we truly live in a parched and barren land spiritually speaking. The only thing that can make a difference is the nourishment of the Word of God. Knowing this we had a project this past year to encourage the people of the church to read their Bibles all the way through. They had to fill out a reading schedule every month showing that they completed their reading for that month. For the ones that participated but maybe didn’t quite make it we gave a special certificate and for the ones that read their Bibles all the way through we gave a study Bible called the Rainbow Bible, that has the different themes in different colors. It was amazing to see their faces when they received the prize. I pray that it will be an encouragement to them to continue to not live by bread alone but every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
Planting for the Future:
As you may know we are currently raising funds to buy land and build a building for our church here. The most amazing thing about this project is that it is not just investing in a church, but in the future of Bolivia. Just as when someone plants a seed, they are not just planting a tree but what one-day will become a forest. Our desire is to plant churches that will one-day plant more churches, creating a forest of churches preaching the gospel for many years to come. With the recent events that have taken place all that I can say is “wow”. A few weeks ago I received an Email from Pastor Ken Herring and the Freedom Baptist Church that they were going to give towards our building fund. I was speechless when I found out that they were giving $10,000 to help us buy land for our church. With this offering we now have a little over $30,000 total towards our project. Please pray for us as we continue to search for the right place to purchase and that the Lord will lead us to that place. If you would like to have a part in helping us buy land for our church here, just write us at kwhite@goreachtheworld.org and send to: Macedonia World Baptist Missions, c/o Bolivia Building Fund, P.O.
