This past week our church here in Bolivia celebrated its seventh birthday. It is hard to believe that it has been seven years since we started the church in a small storefront with a hand full of people. The Lord has tremendously blessed us in this short time and I can truly say that anything that has been accomplished has been the Lord. This year we decided to have one big service instead of having Sunday School and then the morning service. We started out with singing and some testimonies followed by some special music, and this continued until we had our welcome time. The testimonies were truly a blessing to hear, as many told how the Lord had brought them to the church and how He had changed their lives. We had one testimony from a man that has been at the church from the very beginning and then another that just started coming after receiving an invitation in his door. Also before the message we had a video that showed pictures from the beginning to now how the church has grown and changed. To celebrate this time with us we had some great friends that came to visit, Jason and Lori Holt missionaries in Chile. Jason taught on Saturday night in youth group and then preached on Sunday along with some special meetings with the guys who are preparing for the ministry. It was a great blessing to have them with us and we are grateful for their sacrifice and time to come over and be with us. Along with the other activities we had three people baptized and two that joined the church. As the ministry grows and more churches are started it will be exciting to see other churches begin to grow and celebrate their own birthdays.
