When we look at Christianity as a whole, this is the first question that we probably should ask, “Are you are True Disciple of Christ?”. Now a days being a Christian is simply praying a prayer, growing up in church and has very little to do with our everyday life. When Jesus said to His disciples “Go ye therfore and make disciples” I don’t think he had in mind what we see in the average Christian today. Often serving Christ is thought of as something that is only for pastors or missionaries and is something that is done only if there is nothing else to do. I can definitely say that there is a great need and call for disciples and therefore the question, are you a true disciple of Christ. That is exactly what we focused on for this years youth conference called “Disciple”. Our desire was to see our young people decide to be true disciples of Christ. We were privileged to have with us Bro. Chris Gardner missionary to Peru preaching the conference. The conference was Thursday thru Saturday night but during the mornings we met with some of the main guys from the church to talk about sermon preparation and expository preaching. The teens and workers did a great job with the decorations and all the preparations. On Saturday night we had over 100 for the service and many decisions were made for the Lord. Then on Sunday we had three great services learning about what Christ taught His disciples before His ascension. On Tuesday Bro Chris left for Chile to continue what was the first three country youth event, starting here in Bolivia then Chile ending in Peru. It was truly a wonderful time of growth for the people of our church and we are very thankful to Bro. Chris Gardner for his time to come and be with us. Please pray for the youth of our church because they are the future for what God wants to do here in Bolivia.
