Celebrating Eight Years:
It is truly amazing to see how the Lord has blessed over the last eight years since we started our first church here in Bolivia. This past month we celebrated those eight years in a very special way with our church. We wanted to celebrate not only the eight years but also the fact that we now have land for our church where we can build. On Sunday we started our service at 10:00 am and had special singing and testimonies from many of the people telling how they came to the church and what the Lord has done in their lives since they arrived. At the end of the service we had a special offering to go towards our land and building where everyone came forward and put their money in a special glass house that we had made representing the church. I praise the Lord for the generosity of our people as they gave right at $55o which is close to three months wage here. Also when we arrived on Saturday we were surprised to find a stack of 1,000 bricks that one of the families of the church had delivered for the construction. After the service we came back to our current building and had a cookout with everyone. In all we had a great day and there were many visitors some of which attended our church before when we were in our first location. It is great to see how excited the people are to have our own land for the church and how they are already giving. We would ask you to pray for us as we are about half way to paying off the land that we have purchased and would like to get it paid of as soon as possible. We have right at $45,000 left to go and then the construction on top of that. If you would like to help us reach this goal please let us know by writing me at kwhite@goreachtheworld.org and sending any offerings to;

Reaching the Unreached:
For some time now we have been asking you to pray for the work we are starting in a part of town called Quillacollo. Our biggest need has been to find a place to rent so that we can start having Sunday services along with our Thursday night prayer meeting. A few weeks ago we went to look for a place and saw a building that was vacant. We found out who the owners were and went to talk to them about the possibility of renting. They told us that they were not looking to rent at that time, so we left a little discouraged because it was a great place in a great location. That day I started praying that the Lord would change their minds and allow us to rent it for the church. For several weeks we had special prayer during our prayer meeting, and on one Thursday night we prayed specifically that the Lord would give us a place. Little did we know that the owners of the building that we had looked at had a conversation that night and the husband asked his wife who they were going to rent to. She said that she didn’t want to rent to anyone like the previous person that they rented it to, so her husband suggested the Christian guys that had come by. She said,” yes, that is who we will rent to.” They called us Friday morning and we were able to meet with them and sign a contract. Last night we had our first service at the new building and everyone was very excited even though we still have some work to do. Over the next few weeks or so we hope to be painting and getting everything ready to start services on Sundays soon. Stay tuned for more information about what is happening with our new church plant. Thanks again for praying and trust the Lord to do great things in this new church.
