There is no greater joy than to see the work of God growing and advancing and to see people getting saved and churches being established. As you know we have been having Thursday night Bible studies for some time in an area of our city called Quillacollo while making plans to start full time services there. Over the last few weeks have been painting, cleaning and getting things set up and many people from the church have been working hard for this special day. Well this past Sunday was that day and we had our first official Sunday services both in the morning and at night. Gearing up for these services we started English classes to be able to get to know some of the people in the community and hopefully invite them to join us. We have had a little smaller turn out for the English classes than in the past but surprisingly many of the people have been open and interested in the church. We even had one lady say she wasn’t that interested in the classes but wanted to know about the church. We praise the Lord that we had a great turn out to get started with right at thirty people in attendance and three visitors, two of them coming from the English classes. I preached on the Word of God being our guide as a church and in life. I taught how it is trustworthy, it is capable, and it is our guide for every aspect of our life. Overall we had a great time and many responded to the invitation. Things are going to be hectic from here on out because I will be in Quillacollo at 9:30am for service and then rush to be in the 11:00am service at our first church. Then on Sunday night I will be in one church one week and the other the next week with one of the guys that we are training taking charge during my absence. For midweek service I will be at our first church on Wednesday and in Quillacollo on Thursday. We know we have our work cut out for us working in both churches and trying to follow up with the people and help them grow in their spiritual lives but we are trusting the Lord to bless and give fruit. Please pray for us during this time and pray that the Lord will raise up leaders so that we can start even more churches.
