I think one of the places that more people either get saved or get their lives right with the Lord is at camp. I myself got my life right with the Lord when I went to summer camp, even though I was a counselor more than a camper. That is why this is our second year that we have had a camp here for the youth of our church and others. This year we had people come from different parts of Bolivia and we even had a group come from Peru. There was lots of fun as we planned some new games and activities like group skying, and walking, and around the world relay race. Obviously we wanted the kids to have fun but our main goal was for the Lord to work in their lives. As we planned for the camp we talked about many different subjects that we could teach on to help the youth but one main theme kept coming to the forefront. In every area of life, the goal is that we glorify God. From relationships to others to what we do with our lives we want it to be for His glory. We praise the Lord that many decisions were made with 5 or 6 professions of faith and many committing their lives to serve the Lord. On the last night we had a camp fire where there was the opportunity to give testimonies of the decisions that were made. It was truly encouraging to hear how some that were even still in high school had given their lives to be missionaries or prepare for the ministry and others had renewed the commitment that they had made before. I want to say a special thanks to all the people of our church that helped with everything from the food to the games. Our prayer is to see more people give their lives to serve the Lord and that each and every one will live for the glory of God.
