Well we are back at home after another amazing trip across the Andes mountains. We left Saturday at about 6:00 am and arrived at about 8:30 last night. In all it was truly a great week at the pastor’s conference in Arequipa. Pastor Austin Gardner was the principle preacher and we also had the privilege to meet one of our supporting pastors Derrick Lawrence of the Victory Baptist Church that preached. The messages challenged our hearts and renewed our passion to reach the World with the gospel. The trip back was not without it’s challenges. We made really good time and had no problems crossing the border again. We were only a couple of hours from home when we got to the most difficult part of the trip. It is a drop from over 14,000 feet to our city which is around 9,000 feet. When we were ready to start down the mountain the brakes on the car almost completely stopped working. We were almost two and a half hours coming down the mountain before we arrived to the valley where Cochabamba starts. It was probably the two and half most stressful hours of my life. We praise the Lord that we arrived safely and that He protected us with no brakes and from several almost accidents.
