Life Changing Visit:
I can still remember my first mission’s trip just like it was yesterday. I was not young but in Bible college preparing to be a missionary. Part of the requirements to graduate was to spend a month on the mission field somewhere so I spent a month in Peru South America and it changed my life. I was able to not only see the touristy things but also travel with national pastors and participate in special conferences in other cities around Peru. I was able to learn so many things about language and culture that I am still using them today. If I could recommend one thing to you, that would help more than anything else, it would be to take a mission’s trip. This coming summer we will be back in Bolivia and would like to invite you to come and visit us on the mission field. This is something that an individual or group from a church can do. You would be able to help in evangelizing, visiting and helping in a new church plant, special conferences, and seeing the great need in Bolivia. The trip is planned for July but we can also plan for other dates if you would like to visit. The cost is usually between $1500 and $2000 depending on airfare. For more information please go to our website and click on Bolivia Mission’s Trip at the top. If you would like to take a life changing trip, let us know as soon as possible and then come visit us in Bolivia.
Moving Forward:
Things continue to go well with the churches in Bolivia as they continue on with the work and reaching out with the gospel. The church in Quillacollo has had several special activities over the past month. They started a new children’s ministry and have seen many children come, many for the first time. They also had a special Christmas/New Years dinner to celebrate the Holiday season. While Christmas is not celebrated as big there as it is here, this was a great time for the church to come together and fellowship. The church continues to grow and see new people coming all the time. The church in Cochabamba has been hard at work between the construction and the different ministry activities. They now have the roof and half of the walls done and recently put a retainer wall on one side so that they can put filler dirt and then the cement for the floor. Their biggest need now is to finish the floor and get bathrooms built. They also had a special Christmas program sharing the story of Jesus with the people in the neighborhood. They are now gearing up for their annual youth camp which is one of the biggest activities of the year. Please continue to pray for the churches and people there that the Lord will guide and bless.
Reaching the Summit:
This past month we had the privilege of participating in the Our Generation Summit in Pigeon Forge TN. This is a conference that is focused on missions and reaching the world with the gospel. The main focus is on helping each and every person find out where they fit in to world evangelism. We are all called to take the gospel to the world so the only thing we lack is finding out how we can best do that. Each year there are missionaries preaching and representing many different countries from around the world and classes for both the men and the ladies. The greatest part of all is to see people give their lives to go where ever the Lord would have them and to take the gospel to those who have never heard. If you were not able to make it this year to the Our Generation Summit I would encourage you to make plans now to attend next year.
Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for us as we travel during the winter time and face possible bad weather.
2. Pray for the upcoming youth camp in Bolivia this month and that lives will be changed.
3. Pray for those who surrendered to missions during the Summit this year.
4. Pray for the construction of our new church building as the rainy season will begin soon.
