Spiritual Demolition:
We are always excited to hear about the ministry in Bolivia and how they continue to strive to reach and train people to serve the Lord. This past month they had their yearly youth camp called, “breaking down the walls”. The goal was not only to see young people saved, but also see young people break down the “walls” or things that are hindering them in their walk with the Lord and from serving Him. For the past few years we have had Pastor Juan Pacheco from Arequipa Peru to preach at our youth camp. He does a great job challenging the young people and is always a great blessing to the guys serving in Bolivia. In all there were four that were saved, two that confirmed their call to serve the Lord in the ministry and many that made decisions to get their lives right. One of our main focuses at camp and with all of the activities that we do is to encourage each person to find out where they fit in reaching the world with the gospel. We are excited when the Lord calls some to serve Him and have a desire to appropriately train them for the ministry. We would like to ask that you pray that the Lord will continue to call men and women to serve Him.
Great Ministry Opportunity:
Last month we mentioned an opportunity to come to Bolivia and visit on a mission’s trip. Now we would like to share a great ministry opportunity with you, or maybe someone you might know. Some might think that the only opportunity to go to the mission field might be a short visit or someone who knows the Lord wants them to be a missionary. Well we have been praying that the Lord would provide provide someone to come to Bolivia and help in a unique ministry opportunity. As my wife works with the ladies and children in our church it can be a challenge to get everything done, this especially since we started homeschooling our children this year. We would like to have someone that would come to Bolivia and help with homeschool, but also have the opportunity to help out in the different ministries at the churches. So this would not just be teaching, but being involved in things like anew church plant, children’s ministries and working with the ladies and girls from the church. We are looking for a one year commitment with the possibility of staying longer. If you or someone you know might be interested in this unique ministry opportunity, please let us know by writing to kwhite@goreachtheworld.org and we can give more details.
Pray for the World:
When Jesus went from village to village and saw the condition of the people the Bible says that He was moved with compassion for them because they were like sheep with no shepherd. He saw that there was a great need or harvest that was ripe but the problem that He saw is that same that we have to day, a lack of laborers. There are so many countries where people are as those sheep wondering around with no-one to guide them, help them or preach the gospel to them. The main solution that Jesus gave to His disciples was to “pray” for laborers to go into the harvest. A few years ago, in our church in Bolivia, we started praying for a country each week. We show where the country is, the population, and major religions. It really helps us to have a burden as Jesus did for that harvest that is ripe and to pray for those countries that laborers would be sent there. One of the greatest habits that you could have is to pray regularly for the world.
Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for the world and the need for laborers.
2. Pray for for someone to come to Bolivia and help with schooling and the ministry.
3. Pray for us as we travel for meetings this month in NC, SC, FL, AL.
4. Pray for the construction of our new church building and the needs they have.
