Here in Bolivia, four times a year, we have what is called Pedestrian Day. It is a day when no cars are allowed on the streets from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in the whole city. Usually we cancel the morning service and just have an evening service but this past Sunday we decided to have a special activity at our new church. Since there were no cars allowed, we had to walk 45 min to get to church each way, although it wasn’t all up hill and it wasn’t snowing. 🙂 We had service as usual with almost 30 in attendance in spite of it being more difficult to get there. Afterwards we all went out on the street and did three different presentations where we shared the gospel through painting. At the end of each presentation we would pass out tracts to those who had listened. After the last presentation, we had 4 people raise their hand that they had prayed to be saved and wanted more information about the church. After passing out tracts we went to one of the members house, that was close by and had a cookout. We finished the afternoon with some games and soccer and then walked the 45 minutes back home. As you can imagine, by the time we made it home, we were very exhausted. In all we were excited to get the gospel in the hands of many people from the neighborhood where we are starting the church. Please pray that we can reach out to many of them that need the gospel.
