Growing Up:
As I have watched my children grow up, especially my daughters, I have been amazed at the women they are becoming. While I still see them as my little girls, they are not so little any more and I realize that one of my greatest responsibilities and one of my greatest desires is to help them continue to become the godly women they are becoming. Part of that is of course helping them to be able to make wise decisions and live life on their own. Well Grace had a great opportunity to have that experience this past month, as she returned the visit of her friend Katy Holt in Chile. Katy came to visit us a few months ago and this past month Grace was able to spend a month with her in Santiago. After our trip to Peru in September, Grace returned with the Holt’s to Chile after we came back to Bolivia. While there, Grace was able to help out in the ministry and learn things like culture, and how to get around the city on the subway. She was also able to travel back to Bolivia by her self, with no problems, and I met her in La Paz to return here. She truly had a great time and great experience learning how about life.
Forgive and It Shall be Forgiven:
With a desire to reach more people in our community, we have been planning some evangelistic activities, at our church, to be able to reach out to others. This past month we planned a movie night at the church, so that the people could invite their family and friends. The movie was about forgiveness and the Grace of God that He both shows us and that we should show others. It was about a man who’s son got killed by a drug dealer and he spent the rest of his life, as a police officer, trying to keep the same thing from happening to others. He had become a very bitter person and was destroying his family but by the end, not only did he overcome his bitterness but was able to forgive the very person that had killed his son. The response of the people that came was great and one lady even made the comment that it was exactly what she needed because she normally doesn’t like to forgive. We had several visitors that night and some of them have since been visiting the church off and on. Please pray for these people and the many others that need to be reached in the area that we are working.
Please Pray:
A good while back we asked that you pray for a young girl, who is the daughter of one of the families in our church named Maité. At that time she had a brain tumor removed and was recovering very well from the surgery. The doctors had said that it was an aggressive cancer and that tumor could return. Well over the last few weeks Maité had been having difficulty walking and speaking and after doing some test they found out the tumor has returned and is in a location that is inoperable. This means that there is not a lot that they can do for her and outside of a miracle from God she will most likely not live. Please pray for her, her family and us as we try and help them through this very difficult time.
Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for the need to purchase land for the church in Quillacollo.
2. Pray for Maité and her family during this time.
3. Pray for our upcoming youth camp that is in the month of January.
4. Pray that we can reach many people with the gospel in Pacata.
