I can remember, as my children were growing, how excited we were when the took their first steps. They all started pretty early, with Titus being the most active and daring. It was almost humorous because he never really crawled but as soon as he started standing, he took off. With him it wasn’t even a few steps at a time but he literally would run, almost falling forward until he made it to the next thing that he could grab. It would really scare the people here because they always thought he was falling. Well needless to say, he has not slowed down since. While it was exciting to see our children take those first steps, and we have them all recorded in fotos and videos, it is even more exciting to see when new Christians take their first steps of faith. We are always encouraging our people to take that next step in their Christian lives and never become complacent or stagnant in their growth. Recent’y, we were able to see these first steps taken in our first church, as several decided to be baptized. We met with them before hand to explain everything about baptism and while on a church outing they were baptized. We were actually traveling at the time, but I was encouraged to see the men of the church step up and lead these people in this decision for the Lord. I now pray for them as they continue to take their next steps towards maturity in Christ and usefulness in the church.
