This past month, we celebrated our first church’s thirteenth anniversary here in Cochabamba. This year we wanted to do something a little different in a way to not only celebrate the anniversary, but also tp strengthen the church. We planned a family conference for the Thursday – Saturday before, and focused on not only strengthening the families of the church but also inviting new families to participate. We encouraged those of the church to invite friends and family, we handed out invitation in the community and also did publicity through Facebook to try and reach new people. We invited Pastor Miguel Murillo from Peru to come and visit and preach the conference for us. We had a great turn out each night and even had several visitor’s from the Facebook adds, besides the visitors the people of the church brought. We praise the Lord for the last 13 years and His blessings on the church.
We also took advantage of having Pastor Miguel here to spend some time with the men that we are training in our Bible College. Each year we do a Pastor’s Retreat where we have special training about ministry and personal life so these men can be better equipped to serve the Lord. On Monday – Wednesday we went each morning to a retreat center where we learned about the essentials of have a healthy productive church. It was a great time of fellowship and learning for the men that have a desire to do something great for the Lord. We pray that these men will not only be able to start churches, but also be able to reach many people for the Lord.
