Land Under Contract
We have some exciting news to share with you about the land we are purchasing for the church in Quillacollo. We have now signed the contract for the purchase of the land and we have three months to pay the remainder that is owed. In our last prayer letter there was a small misprint on the amount that we have received for the land. The letter stated that we have $37,000 but it should have read $32,000 with those offering that were given. Since then we have received four new offerings that total $2,200 so that takes our total to a little over $34,000 that has been given. That means that we have until the end of February, a little less than three months, to raise the remaining $20,000 that would allow us to pay off the land, without having to get a loan; and start construction so that the church can begin having services there. We are both excited and nervous at how the Lord is blessing and to be able to see the finish line in sight. With only $20,000 left, we can reach our goal of helping our second church have their own property, and be able to celebrate this great victory that the Lord has given us. Would you please pray with us and consider having a part in helping us reach this milestone? If you would like to give, please let us know and send to:

Situation in Bolivia:
In our last prayer letter, we shared the difficult situation that our country was facing with the resignation of the current president. At that time the president had fled the country and his supporters began to march towards the main cities to not only strike, but also destroy anything that came in their way. This was very concerning and the US Embassy in La Paz actually evacuated their workers. Both the police and military were sent to the main highways that enter the cities to stop the people from entering. There were major clashes and over 20 people were killed and hundreds injured. During that time a temporary president was established and she began to try and bring peace to the country. After almost two weeks of fighting and the blockaders not allowing food or supplies to enter the cities, they came to an agreement and are working to set a date for new elections that should take place after the first of the year. Please continue to pray that the government that will be established at that time will be beneficial for the church and the ministry here.
Kid’s Club:
Since we started the church in Pacata we have wanted to reach more of the children in the community. This past month, Beth and several of the workers from the church started a kid’s club in a sports complex in an adjacent neighborhood. The first Saturday there, we had over twenty kids that came. Every week since they have maintained the same or more and already there have been several that have made professions of faith. Please pray that we can not only reach these children, but also their families with the gospel.
Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for the situation in Bolivia and the next government that will be elected.
2. Pray that the remainder of the money will come in for the land in Quillacollo.
3. Pray for our Christmas activities that the churches will be having.
4. Pray for then men that are preparing for the ministry here.
