September Prayer Letter
The Tide Seems to be Turning:
Up until recently, the situation in Bolivia was the worst that we have seen since every thing started. With the medical system overrun, and no room to attend new patients, many were sent home to die with no hope. We have even had several friends that we knew personally that have died or have lost loved ones. As I hear about the deaths occurring every day, the saddest part is that many of them did not know the Lord as their Savior. We now praise the Lord that things seem to be improving, and the numbers are much lower now. The government is now beginning to relax the restrictions and businesses are beginning to open again. In most of the country, they are even allowing limited church services, but in our city where they are holding out for a little longer. We hope that in the next month or two, the churches will be able to begin having services again, and things will continue improving. We would like to ask you to pray with us that the Lord will send more laborers with us to Bolivia to reach them before many more die without Christ.
Continued Thanks:
Once again, we are very thankful for several offerings that have come in to help some of the Bolivian pastors during this time. This has been a great blessing to help provide for their needs while the churches have not been meeting. We pray that in the next couple of months that things will improve, many will be able to go back to work and the churches will be able to meet again. If you would like to help in the mean time, please send to Vision Baptist Missions. c/o Bolivian Pastors, P.O. Box 442, Alpharetta Ga 30009.
Continued Training:
We just finished our second trimester in our Bible college this past week and although we have been having the classes online, the Lord has been blessing, and we have had a great group taking classes. We are also excited that by the end of this year we will have a couple guys that will be finishing up their classes and will be ready to graduate. We are praying that the Lord will continue to work in their lives and that we can help them start new churches in the near future. I have also been able to help with teaching the students at the OG Training Center at our home church. Every Wednesday they have a modular class where a missionary couple comes in and teaches the men and women separately. I was able to teach for four hours on preparing and preaching the Word of God. I truly believe that the only hope that our world has, is the Bible. The problem is, too often, the Bible is not really taught as the whole counsel of God. The goal is to start with the original meaning of the text when it was written, and show how it is applicable for today. Please pray for both the men in Bolivia and the missionaries in training to be greatly used by God.
Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for laborers that can go with us to reach the many Bolivians dying without Christ.
2. Pray for the many families that are hurting and losing loved ones in Bolivia.
3. Pray for the men preparing for the ministry that the Lord can do a great work in and through them.
4. Pray for us as we travel, visiting churches and sharing the need in Bolivia and the world.
