After almost eight months of differing lockdown restrictions in Bolivia, the churches were able to begin having services again, this past month. They prepared to follow all the guidelines that were required by the government and concerns of the people. The seats were separated and everyone had to wear a mask and use hand sanitizer before entering. They were also not allowed to shake hands or hug, during, or after service, which is a big part of church life there. Well in spite of these restrictions, the response was very encouraging to see how that the people were so excited to be able to meet again and worship together. Although some were not able to come back yet and some are still cautious, the response was better than we anticipated. This means that the churches can begin to reach out to the many people that need the Lord and fulfill their purpose in the Lord’s work. The church is Quillacollo is working hard to be able to start having services again soon, but for them it will be on their new land that was purchased before the pandemic started. They hope to begin construction this month, but are making plans to even start having services in a near by park to begin reaching people in the area. Please continue to pray for the churches, and people there that have suffered so much in the past months.
