This past week we had great starts to both our English classes and our Bible College classes. This past Saturday, after a couple of weeks inviting and announcing we had our English classes. It is always a nerve racking time because we never know how many people will really show up. If too many show up then we won’t have space and would either have to turn people away or have tow separate classes. If too little show up it would almost seem like a waste of time. We had close to eighty five people sign up the Saturday before but many more kept contacting us through the week leading up to the first class. On Saturday we started out with probably twenty or thirty people so I was a little worred. By the end of the class, the room that we have was almost full for the basic class and there were more than twenty in the advanced class with my wife Beth. The great thing is that we have already been able to build relationships with a good number of the students and are hoping to see them at our first church service in a couple of weeks.
Also we had a great start to our Bible college classes after being on break for Christmas. We have new teachers and several new students this trimester and are excited about being able to invest in the lives of many of them and help them prepare for what the Lord has for them. We are teaching four classes, Creationism vs Evolution, Pastoral Ethics, Holeletics I, Beth is teaching Women Counseling Women, and Poetic Books. With this we have a couple of students that are very close to finishing their requirements to be able to graduate soon. Please pray for these men and women that the Lord will continue to not only call to the ministry but work to prepare them to do great things for Him.
